How can I dye my hair silver, gray, or white?

I have lately seen two young people with silver-gray hair, one in person, and one in a Japanese band, and I have not been able to find out how this is done. I am told that there is no such thing as gray dye, so how did these people get silver hair? It looked very soft and natural - not like a wig, or stiff with paint. What is the secret?

There IS white, silver hair dye. What you got to do is bleach your hair first so that it's VERY light. Then apply the dye. Or better still, just go to your hairdresser, she'll do it properly. it can be very harmful for your hair to bleach it so much if you're inexperienced.
