Why do people say that the power ballad was the death of hair bands?

Can't rockers have a soft side too?

Power ballads were not the death of hair bands by any means. It was merely a song style to get the women. The death of hair bands was caused by the public's choice to move on to a new music genre and it happened to be grunge led by bands like Nirvana.

Take a look at the music scene over the years and you'll see that nothing stays at the top of the charts for too long. What happens to be the favorite of the day may not last as tomorrow's favorite.

Rockers are just as human as human beings!I do not lyk rockers but I think that we should all be our own person!we all should follow what we enjoy doing!People have to understand that they cant judge anyone because they have tattoos,or just because they want to be a Gothic rocker,Punk rocker or anything!Just be happy for who you are and dont let anyone take what you enjoy doing away just because THEY want you to act the way THEY want you to act!!

I don't know what the hell "Gohst" is talking about, but Hair bands were supposed to be hard rockers, but wussed out when they started singing ballads. Unfortunately, many hair bands couldn't get noticed and couldn't get air play if they didn't have that ballad in their repertoire.
