All right so my band is shooting our music video soon and we're all gonna get some crazy hair coloring for it. I personally want to get the front sides of my part dyed blonde. The same style that Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria has. (I have similar hair). Now I don't want to go to a salon to do this. Any tips on how to do it my self. Here is a pic of what Claudio looks like if you don't know. It's not good but it's the best one I could find to describe what I want. http://www.mtv.com/bands/c/coheed_and_ca...
Hair Dye Question...?
First off- you do not dye your hair blond, you bleach it.
Anyway you can do this quite easy but it will be permanent until it grows out.
Put all of your hair in a scrunchy or a ponytail holder.
With a large tooth comb separate out what you want bleached.
Take a little vasoline and apply it to the roots you do not want to bleach near the hair you want to bleach. This will protect you a little from messing up.
Use a bleaching kit. It is a good idea to get one that makes a paste (most of them do) and it will make it easier to bleach only what you want to bleach.
Follow the directions from your bleaching kit.
Hair Dye Question...?
Tip : Go to a salon.
Hair Dye Question...?
If you don't want to go to a salon and get your hair done, but you don't want to chance all of your hair falling out before your music video, I suggest you find a friend who is a licensed cosmetologist.
Putting bleach on your own head is a really silly idea.
Hair Dye Question...?
I suggest that you go to a salon instead. What you need is not just a simple hair dye but highlights which involve bleaching certain sections of your hair which is quite difficult to do by yourself at home.
go to any reyes haircutter salon branch in your area..... the cost of a highlight/hair dye is only 300 pesos....
and bring along a copy of the hair that you want to imitate...
Hair Dye Question...?
I think you should first dye most of your hair brown except the front portion. After that, pull the brown hair back with a clip then dye the rest of your hair blonde. For instructions on how to use the dye, just follow the instruction enclosed in the box of the Hair Color Creme you have chosen.
