Guns, Tesla, Whitesnake, Great White, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Anthrax,Warrant, Ratt,Judas Priest(Turbo), Dokken, Europe, Bon Jovi, W.A.S.P,Def Lepard, King Kobra... also, KISS, Alice Cooper, and AC/DC all had their hairball 80's albums but those guys were around since the 70's.

I lurve everything by WASP too but they were more metal than the rest. and all that has been said in previous answers- Skid Row too maybe...Slave to the Grind- brilliant, again bit heavier than the rest...also Pantera albums before Cowboys From Hell...
