The 80s hair bands rock. I still listen to all those bands after all these years.

Awesome video. Done in good fun, and yes, ACDC, KISS and some others are not "hair bands", but really good video regardless.

I was and still am an 80s hair band junkie!! I had bangs that stood up for miles on my head. I can't get enough of the music!

My favorite back then was Poison, but now I am die hard Bon Jovi fan....even though he looks better now than then, I must be growing old too!

AC/DC was NOT a hairband. Hairbands originated more or less with the early 80's LA scene with Motley Crue, Ratt, Poison,etc. For youngsters 25 and under answering a question before their time.....AC/DC, Priest, Maiden do not fall into this category. Hair bands typically had cheesy ballads on mid to late 80's MTV that allowed themselves to sell more tickets and records by attracting preteen and teenage chicks. As a 30 something, I thought hairmetal killed the golden age of "Heavy Metal" from late 70's to early 80's. Only good thing about hairbands was going to the concerts to hook up with a hot chicks in the audience. Other than that, they insulted the way bands before them played good straight up hard rock and metal (AC/DC, Priest, Nugent, Sabbath,etc.).

Who came up with that "Hair Band" label anyway?!, cause i want to find them and smack the s**t out of them. Makeup and frilly clothes aside (cause that was just dumb), good hard rock and metal is SUPPOSED to be about the hair! It meant you and your band were good enough to be out there being somewhat of a success without slaving for some jerk day-job boss. A lot of good bands got lost in the "Hair band" shuffle, and it's sad really, and look what became of the whole music scene because of it. Nowadays you can't tell who's who anymore , cause every dude in just about every band looks like your everyday "Joe the carpet layer". ....ok i'm done now. LOL!
