How can I keep her hair out of her face?

My daughter is 17 months old and im trying to get her hair to grow to all one length, the back of it is long but when she was 10 months old we cut the front of it because it was hanging in her face. Now, I am wanting it to grow out but its hanging in her eyes really bad and I know it has to be bugging her.... But I can not for the life of me figure out a way to keep it out of her face. I have tried tying it up but she takes it down with in 3 minutes. I have tried head bands but she pulls them off too, and then breaks them. I have tried blow drying her hair back from her face while its wet to train it to go back and she wont tollerate it, she hates the blow dryer.... Any suggestions?

My daughter was the same. Use tiny elastic bands, she won't be able to take those out, and you can have a cute little ponytail on top of her head for more than three minutes!

I think that they have kid gels and moose that you can let her put on her hair herself, with supervision of course. She might like that because she can do it herself.

Good luck

try hair clips.. =)

What type of hair does she have? What kind of bands are you using? Maybe the small, clear Polybands may be better cuz they may be harder to take out.

Try elastic headbands rather than the plactic "U" shaped headbands.

Also if she won't tolerate any clips/bands in her hair and it's in her face, why don't you just cut it short again?

Do you use any product on it? Perhaps a good gel or mousse when wet, and then brush it out when dry and put a little hairspray on?

My 15 month old daughter is the same way. Clips come out almost as soon as they go in. She won't leave a headband on long enough for me to take my hands off it. As far as the elastic band and rubber bands, she will pull her hair out with them. I try to sneak clips in when she is other wise occupied. I also put them more in the the back so that it is harder for her to find them. I have tried the mousse and the gel. They just don't work to keep her hair back. One thing that does help (for a little while anyway) is pommade. Rub a little into the roots and arrange the hair so that it is out of her face. I also put a clip in her hair at night sometimes (after she is asleep) so that the hair will be more inclined to stay back the next morning.

If you find a sure fire method, please forward it to me. I would be most grateful.
